QuicKit #2N: Coal Bunker (N)

(2 customer reviews)

$19.00

Coal was often used in the heater of a caboose.  This N scale coal bunker was a common site along the caboose track.  Typically a gondola filled with coal was spotted next to the bunker.  The coal was shoveled in using the “armstrong” method.  The door on the side of the bunker is where the trainmen could go in to fill up a coal bucket for the fuel needed for the next freight run.  This is a quality craftsman kit with thorough instructions that are amply illustrated.  Click here for QuicKit pictures or “how-to” videos.

This kit includes laser cut walls, door and trim, plus roofing material.  Footprint is 1 3/8″ x 3/4″.
